1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 lb. bacon, cut up
2 medium onions, chopped
16 oz. B&M canned baked beans with red kidney beans
32 oz. Campbell's canned pork & beans in tomato sauce
16 oz. canned lima beans
1 c. ketchup
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar*

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef, pour off grease, and add meat to 4 qt.
casserole dish. Cook bacon and onion in the same pan, drain
grease, and add bacon and onions to casserole. Add the rest
of the ingredients and stir together.
Bake at 350 for 1/2 to 1 hr, or simmer in crock pot. Can
prepare and cook the night before, then just heat (covered) in
microwave before serving.

My grandfather Appleby's niece Charlotte brought this to a family
Memorial Day cookout in the late 1970's, and it has been a staple
of family backyard cookouts ever since. Typically served as a
side dish, but filling enough to be a light supper by itself.
