Horseradish roots

He peeled the roots in water. Cut the roots in small enough pieces to grind with a hand grinder.
After it was ground he mixed white vinegar in it and put it in jars and sealed them.
Some of the roots were small as a little finger and some were as big around as an elephaant leg.
When he ground the roots he had a shelf on the back porch with a window. He had a fan in front of the grinder to take the fumes out through the open window.
