1 1/2 lbs. fresh broccoli
1 cup all purpose flour
3/4 can of beer
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vegetable oil
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and clean broccoli, remove lower stems. Cut lengthwise into 1/2 inch spears. Cook until crisp-tender, about 8 min. then drain and cool.
Heat oil about 1 1/2 inches in a deep fry pan. Beat remaining ingredients with hand beater until smooth. Dip each spear into batter letting excess drip into bowl. Fry 3 or 4 spears at a time in hot oil turning once, until golden brown 2-3 min.
