1 1/2 C peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 16 oz pkg confectioners sugar
2 tbsp solid vegetable shortening
1/2 C butter or margarine
1 6oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Line baking sheet with wax paper. In a bowl, mix peanut butter, butter, vanilla and sugar with hands to form smooth dough (dough will be stiff). Shape dough into 1" balls - place on wax paper and refridgerate. On top of double boiler, melt chocolate pieces and shortening. When smooth, pour into small bowl. Insert toothpick into balls and dip 3/4 of each ball into chocolate. Put back on wax paper and chill for 30 min.
