1 lg. onion sliced 3lb. beef bottom roast 1/2 cup dry white wine or water 1 pkg. dry au jus gravy mix 2 cups beef broth
Place onions and roast in crock pot. Combine wine (or water) and gravy mix and pour over roast. Add broth to cover roast Cover and cook on hight 5-6 hours or low 10-12 hrs. Remove meat from liquid and let stand 5 min. before slicing thinly across grain. Serve on french bread with gravy for dipping.
