Place in a buttered 1 1/2-quart baking dish 3 cups of apples and add 2 T. lemon juice. Fruit can be fresh or canned. Tart, fresh fruit will need 4 - 6 T. additional sugar combined with the fruit before topping is added.
1/2 C. Sifted Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 C. Quick-cooking Oatmeal
3/4 C. Brown Sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1/4 C. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over fruit mixture and bake 30 - 35 minutes at 305 degrees. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream, ice cream or custard sauce.
(May use also use apricots, blueberries, boysenberries, cherries, or rhubarb.)
