1/2 c. oil, butter, or margarine
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. water
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. flour
5 c. chopped apples
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. walnuts
Topping 1:
1 c. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. 1/2 and 1/2
2 tsp. vanilla
Topping 2:
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla

For cake: Cream butter, sugar and eggs together. Stir in water. Combine dry ingredients and add to butter mixture. Add apples, vanilla and walnuts. Bake 45-50 min. in a 9 x 13 in. pan at 350.
For toppings: Mix all ingredients together in small saucepan and boil for 5 min. Spoon toppings 1 or 2 over cut pieces of cake.
