"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

1 lb ground beef 1 egg 1 c bread crumbs 1/4 tsp pepper 2 cans beef gravy 1 c water 2 medium onions, cut in chunks 4 potatoes, cut in chunks 1 small bag, baby carrots
Heat oven to 350º Cook potatoes and carrots in boiling water 5-7 minutes to soften. Mix 1st 4 ingredients and form into meatballs. Brown in oil in frying pan. Combine all ingredients in greased casserole dish and bake 1 hour covered.
This was one of Mom's regular meals. I make it now but use pre-made meatballs. I think the original recipe also used broccoli but I don't think Mom liked it (we never had it growing up) so she omitted that
