1 box German chocolate cake mix
16 oz. bag caramels
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Make cake according to directions. Put half of batter in 13x9 in. pan. Bake 20 min. at 350. While cake is baking melt caramels in 1/2 c. evaporated milk and butter. Remove cake from oven. Pour caramel mixture over cake. Add nuts and chips. Spread remaining batter over top. Bake 250 for 20 min. Turn heat to 350 for additional 10 min. Cool and cut in squares.
