12 eggs
3 c sugar
2 T lemon extract
1 T vanilla extract
1/2 lb butter
1 c milk
12 t baking power
1 t salt
12 c unsifted flour

1/4 c butter
2 t shortening
1 box confectioner's sugar
1 T milk
1 t vanilla extract

Heat oven to 375. Beat eggs, sugar and butter together until well combined. Add milk; then lemon and vanilla extracts. To this add baking powder and salt. Gradually add 11 cups of flour to the bowl. This will make a medium stiff dough. Take 1/3 of dough and roll out on floured surface (using remaining 1 c flour, as needed). Knead slightly into rectangle shape about 3" by 8". Working from one end, slice off approximately 1/2" of dough and form into a knot. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Remove to wire rack and let cool. Frost as desired.
