1 cup lukewarm milk
1 package yeast
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour, divided
confectioner's sugar

Put yeast and milk in a mixing bowl. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir.
Add sugar, salt, butter and eggs.
Beat, then add 1 and 1/2 cups of the flour gradually beating after each addition.
Cover and let dough rise 40 minutes in a warm place.
Mix in the rest of the flour enough to make dough which is barely firm enough to handle.
Knead and shape into rolls or other shape on cookie sheet or roll pan.
Cover and let rise for one hour
Bake at 400 degrees for 12-20 minutes depending upon size of rolls.
Frost with confectioner's sugar moistened with water and vanilla.
