1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
2 c. chopped apples
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat Well.

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to creamed mix alternately with sour cream. Fold in apples. Spread in greased 13x9x2" pan or 9x9" pan.

Combine chopped nuts, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Sprinkle over batter.

Bake in 350 oven 35 to 40 minutes.
