2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1.2 t. soda
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1 Valencia or other sweet orange, for juice and grated skin
1 egg,beaten
2 T. melted butter
1 c, cranberries
1/2 c. broken walnut pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Put juice and grated rind of orange into measuring cup, add enough boiling water to make 3/4 c. and add to dry mixture. Add cranberries and walnut pieces. Bake in a greased loaf pan for 45 to 50 minutes in a preheated oven at 325. Store 24 hours before cutting.
