2 3/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. saly
1 cup (2 sticks butter) softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 lg. egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
On wax paper, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
In large bowl, with mixer on medium speed, beat butter and sugar 1 minute or until creamy.
Add egg and vanilla; beat well until mixed. Reduce speed to low and gradually mix in flour, just until blended, occasionally scraping bowl.
Follow directions for your choice of cookie!
