1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pumpkin
1 c. shortening
1 tsp.baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add flour,baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.. Mix well. Add vanilla,pumpkin and egg. Mix well.

Bake at 350 degrees 10-12 minutes

Frosting: 2 T. butter or margarine, 4 T. milk, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1 c. conf. sugar

Combine butter, brown sugar and milk.in pan. Boil for 2 mins. and cool. Add conf. sugar. (add more conf. sugar if needed)
