2 tbsp. butter or margarine
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Melt the butter in a heavy saucepan or skillet; add the flour and stir until smooth. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly. Cook until smooth and thick. Season with salt and pepper.
