1/2 c chopped onion
1 jalapeno chile chopped (opt)
3 T white wine vinegar
2 T soy sauce
2 T canola oil
1/2 tsp Tobasco sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
40 lg shrimp (2 lbs), peeled and deveined
1 lime, cut into wedges

Directions:

Make marinade by combing all but shrimp and lime.
Put shrimp in large plastic ziploc bag and pour in the marinade. Seal bag tightly and turn bag to distribute marinade. Refrigerate 30-45 minutes.
Remove shrimp and discard marinade. Place on skewers or directly on grill. Grill over direct, high heat until shrimp are firm and just turning opague in center (2-4 minutes), turning once. Place on platter and squeeze lime juice over them. Serve warm.

This is a new recipe I found and we love it. It is really quick and easy to make. I don't use the jalapeno pepper because I don't like things really hot.
