1 cup self-rising cornmeal
1 cup self-rising flour
1 medium onion
garlic salt & pepper to taste
1 cup buttermilk
1 whole egg, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together all ingredients until well combined.
Drop by tablespoon fulls into hot 360 degree oil. Cook until browned.
Drain on paper towels.
