6 wooden skewers
6 medium apples
1 c. sugar
1 can sweetened condensed milk
3/4 c. white corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Stick skewers into apples and set aside. Combine sugar, syrup, milk and salt; mix well. Cook over medium heat stirring to 230 on a candy thermometer or soft ball stage. Remove; cool slightly and stir in butter and vanilla. Working quickly dip apple in caramel to coat well. Place on wax paper to cool.
