1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. cocoa
Marshmallows, cut in halves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Add all remaining ingredients except marshmallows. drop from teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes at 350. Remove from oven, press 1/2 marshmallows (cut side down) into each cookie. Return to oven for 2 minutes. When cool, frost with the following:

Frosting:

Combine
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. butter
5 Tbsp. cocoa
5 Tbsp. milk
