1c. chopped dates
1 Tbsp. butter
Pour 1 c. boiling water over these and cool. Add:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Bake in 8 x 8 inch baking pan at 325 fir 30-35 minutes. Serve with whipped cream on top.
