3 c. flour
1 tsp.salt
4 eggs
1/2 c. to 3/4 c. water (depending on size of eggs)
4 qt. of water (for boiling spatzle)
Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour and salt. Add eggs and water, stir until thick and smooth. In large saucepan, bring water to a boil. Spoon batter into spatzle press and squeeze into boiling water. Gently separate spatzle with fork. Continue cooking for 3-5 min. Remove spatzle with small strainer into bowl. Add a little butter to keep from sticking. Cover cooked spatzle and keep warm. Repeat process until batter is used up.
