2 1/3 c flour
1 tsp. soda
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tbsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix well. Bake in two 9 in. pans for 25 min. in 350 degree oven.
Frosting:
Make a smooth paste with 1 c. mild and 3 tbsp. flour. Cook slowly, while stirring, till it bubbles. Cool completely. In mixing bowl, cream 1 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, and 1 tsp. vanilla till fluffy. Frost completely cooled cake.
