8 slices bread 2 c milk 3 eggs 1 c sugar 1 T vanilla 1/2 c raisins (optional) 3 T butter
Soak bread in milk. Squeeze with hands until well mixed. Add eggs, sugar, vanilla, and raisins. Melt butter in bottom of 2 quart casserole dish (or bundt pan). Pour in batter and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Serve with maple syrup.
