Ingredients:
1 box vanilla wafers
4 or 5 bananas
3/4 cup sugar
4 T flour
1/8 tsp salt
3 cups milk
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
Meringue:
3 egg whites
4 T sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the sugar, flour and salt in saucepan. Mix egg yolks in the milk and add to flour mixture. Stir constantly until thickened. Add vanilla. Line a 2 qt dish with vanilla wafers. Slice the bananas over the cookies. Pour the pudding over the bananas. Beat the egg white until soft peaks form. Add the sugar gradually and continue beating until meringue is stiff. Spread the meringue over the pudding and bake at 350 until lightly brown. Instead of the meringue, add the whole egg to the pudding mixture and use vanilla wafer crumbs for the topping.

Personal Notes:
Leann wanted to be sure this was included. We like it better with the extra vanilla wafers and crumbs on top.
