2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 T. sugar
6 slices stale bread
2 T. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
Cinnamon and Nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Cream eggs and sugar together, add milk and vanilla and stir until sugar is dissolved,  Dip each slice of bread into mixture and allow bread to absord milk, but not to become soggy.  Heat shortening in skillet and fry until golden brown.  Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
