6 lbs. cucumbers
4 larg onions shredde
2 green peppers shredded
1/2 c. canning salt

5 c. vinegar (cider)
5 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. tumeric
2 tbsp. mutard seed
2 tbsp. celery seed
16 whole cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cucumbers, onions, peppers and canning salt in a large crock. Cover with ice cubes. Cover with a weighted plate an let set for 3 hours. Drain. Blend vinegar, sugar, tumeric, mustard seed, celery seed and cloves in a cannery pan. Let the mixture come to a boil. Add drained cucumbers. Heat over medium heat thoroughly but DO NOT BOIL. Stir occasionally with wooden spoon. Pack in sterilized jars and seal in a hot water bath.
