2 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. margarine, softened
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. water
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. Beat margarine, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract and water until creamy. Add eggs to creamed mixture and beat well. Add flour mixture gradually; mix well. Stir in semi-sweet chocolate morsels and chopped nuts (if desired). Drop by well-rounded half tsp. onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.

This is a family favorite! They are the fluffiest and best chocolate chip cookie ever! My sisters and I used to prepare the cookie dough, but not bake it. We would leave the covered bowl in the refrigerator and sneak spoonful after spoonful for days until it was all gone... DELICIOUS!
