3 eggs
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. scalded milk
1 to 2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
9 inch unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs until light and foamy. Add sugar and salt; blen well. Add the scalded milk and vanilla. Brush the unbaked pie shell with melted butter. Pour custard into shell. Sprinkle top lightly with nutmeg. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce to 325 degees and bake for 30-40 minutes longer
