Soup meat; curved bones with meat on them
Extra package of stew meat
1 cup chopped celery
2 new potatoes, cubed
1 medium chopped onion
3 chopped scallions, including 2 tops
3/4 cup okra (fresh or frozen)
Fresh snapped green beans (optional)
1 cup baby lima beans
1 large can chopped or stewed tomatoes
1 medium can of tomato juice

Place soup meat and bones in large pot; cover with water by about 1 inch. Add salt & pepper.

Simmer in covered pot for about 1 hour until meat is tender. Gradually add chopped vegetables.. may need more water. Simmer another hour or so.

Serve with mama's cornbread
