1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp butter
2 cups sugar, divided
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
dash of salt
3/4 cup milk
2 cups sliced peaches

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in 2 quart baking dish. Combine 1 cup of sugar and remaining dry ingredients until thoroughly mixed, add milk and stir. Pour batter over butter in baking dish, do not stir. Combine peaches and 1 cup of sugar, spoon onto batter, do not stir. Bake in the oven for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
