1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg

1 T. canned milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix margarine, sugar and egg. Stir in milk and vanilla then add the dry ingredients. May need to add more flour. Roll the dough out on a floured surface. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes. Bake 350 for 10 -12 min.

This recipe doubles easily. I also substitute regular milk for the canned milk and it works fine.
