4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 package yeast
1/4 c. warm water
3 egg yolks
1 c. milk, scalded, then cooled

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt and sugar into bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. In small bowl, dissolve yeast into warm water. Once yeast has proofed, add to flour mixture.

In separate bowl, mix egg yolks and milk. Stir into flour mixture. Dough will be slightly wet. Cover with plastic wrap and chill.

Once dough is completely chilled, divide into two equal pieces. (This can be done up to 24 hours later). Roll out each half into 12" x 10" rectangle.

Spread each piece with more butter. Sprinkle generously with sugar and cinnamon. Top with chopped walnuts. Roll jelly roll style and slice each piece of dough into 12 equal pieces.

Bake in greased and floured pans at 350 until lightly browned, about 20 minutes. Glaze with a mixture of confectioners sugar and orange juice while still warm.

Mom got this recipe from our neighbor on Pine Hill, Rosalie Labbe. We had them every year for Christmas breakfast. The only other time I remember mom making these was on my wedding day! -Carolyn
