7 turnips
1 cup whole milk
4 tablespoons butter
ground black pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Peel, wash, and quarter turnips. Boil 35-45 minutes or until tender. Strain and rinse cooked turnips. Place in large mixing bowl and use fork to break up turnips into smaller bits. Add milk and butter. Mash or whip to desired consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serves 4

Serves 8 to 10 people. Very buttery and delicious side with beef or turkey dishes. You should really try them if you have not had them. Yam haters it's a great alternative to serve with roasted meats like turkey or beef... go for it!
