"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Directions:
Peel the potatoes and slice them thin. Place into a roaster. When you have enough potatoes in your roaster fill the roaster 1/2 full with milk. Add the cream of mushroom soup and the onion. Stir together. Sprinkle cornstarch on top. Bake until the potatoes are done.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
If the roaster is too full, it will spill over. Another one of Grandma Alice's recipes that the Malterer family loves.
