3/4 c. butter or margarine
1-1/2 c. sugar
1-1/2 c. mashed ripe bananas (4-6)
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk (sour sweet milk with 2 tsp. vinegar)
3/4 c. broken walnuts (opptional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar well. Blend in the mashed bananas, eggs, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and sour milk. Blend until well combined. Add walnuts if you want. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake for 1 - 1 1/2 hours at 350
