2 cups sugar
4-6 tbsp cocoa, heaping
3 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup sour milk
1 cup hot water
1 tbsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add cocoa and eggs. Alternate milk and flour; add salt and mix well. Mix soda and water, then add to batter. Add vanilla. Bake in 350F oven for 45 minutes or until it pulls away from side of pan.
