1 peck green tomatoes
4 onions
4 large red peppers
1/4 cup salt
5 cups sugar
1 quart vinegar
about 2 1/2 TBS pickling spice

Directions:
Directions:
Tie pickling spice into a cheesecloth bag. Set aside
Grind tomatoes, onions and red peppers. Place in canner, cover with water and stir in salt. Bring to a boil to scald. Drain well. Return to canner, add vinegar, sugar, and bag of spice. Cook utill vegetables appear clear. 1 to 2 hours. Fill jars and seal, process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
