1 C mashed potatoes
1 qt milk
3/4 C shortening
2/3 C sugar
1 C water
4 eggs
5 pkgs or T yeast
1 T salt
12 to 14 C flour

Directions:
Directions:
Scald together potatoes, milk, shortening and sugar. Add water; let it cool to lukewarm. Beat in eggs. Add yeast, soften until it bubbles. Blend in salt and flour. Dough will be sticky. Let it rise until it doubles. Punch down; roll out into desired shapes. Let it rise. For doughnuts or scones, fly at 375, for rolls bake at 350.
