4.5 cups tart apples, peeled and chopped or grated coarsely
2/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp flour
2 tsp cinnamon
salt, dash
1 egg, beaten
6 tbsp melted butter
1 unbaked 9 in pie shell
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400F.Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt and apples. Stir in egg and butter and spoon mixture into pie shell and sprinkle with pecans. Bake on top or middle rack at 400F for 10 min, then reduce heat to 350F and bake 45 minutes.
