1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
dash salt
1 1/3 c. water heated to 115 to 120 degrees F.
whipped cream or favorite flavor of ice cream

Preheat oven to 350. In small bowl, combine flour, 3/4 c. sugar, 2 T. cocoa, baking powder and 1/2 tsp. salt. Stir in milk, butter and vanilla until well blended; spread in ungreased 9-inch round or square pan.

In small bowl, combine 1 c. sugar, 2 T. cocoa and dash salt; sprinkle evenly over cake batter. Pour hot water over sugar mixture. Bake at 350 for 35 to 45 minutes or until center is set and firm to the touch. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
