4 oz. almond paste
1 cup & 1 tabs. sugar
2 cups flour
2 sticks butter

Directions:
Directions:
Heat over to 350 degrees. Blend ingredients and place in the refrigerator overnight. Keeping flour on hands, roll small amounts into balls, then into strips. Shape the strips into crescents and place onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes until a golden brown. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar while still warm.

This is one of my traditional Christmas cookies - rich and buttery. I usually make a double or triple recipe; the dough keeps well in the refrigerator. Sorry to say that almond paste is hard to find in Panama. I usually bring it from the U.S.
