1 lb. trimmed round steak; sliced 1/4" thick
6 oz. mushrooms sliced (approx. 2 C)
1/2 C chopped onion
1 can condensed beef broth or beef consommé
1 cup sour cream
2 1/2 T flour
salt & pepper to taste
butter
rice or buttered noodles

Cut meat into strips, 1/4 " wide. Brown quickly with butter in a skillet. Push meat to one side and add sliced mushrooms and onions. Cook until tender, but not brown. Add 1 can beef broth; heat just to boiling. Blend 1 C sour cream with flour; stir into broth. Cook, stirring occasionally until thickened. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve over hot rice or buttered noodles.
