1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons salt

6 tablespoons of cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, soda and salt. Set aside. In a mixing bowl combine oleo, sugar and eggs. Add bananas, vanilla and water. Begin adding flour mixture.Add only a little at a time. This is heavy dough and will put a small mixer to the test. Once flour is combined, you may add 1 cup of chopped nuts if you wish. Bake in 2 greased and floured loaf pans between 325 and 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done. Top of loaf should rise and split. A toothpick will come out clean when the bread is ready.
