4 pounds shrimp
2 sticks unsalted butter
6 T olive oil
4 T chile sauce
2 T worchestershire sauce
1 T lemon juice
1/2 lemon thinly sliced
4 garlic cloves minced
2 t minced parsley
1 1/2 t ground red pepper
1 1/2 t liquid smoke
1 t paprika
1 t oregano
1/4 t tabasco sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and rinse shrimp then pat dry. Spread shrimp in a shallow baking pan. Combine all the other ingredients into a saucepan, simmer 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Pour saucepan ingredients over the shrimp and refrigerate 2-3 hours. Remove from fridge and bake in 350 degree oven until shrimp turns pink.

Serve over rice with crusty bread for dipping.

This recipe my mother brought back from a trip to New Orleans many years ago. It is very spicy and very good.
