1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
3 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and beat until creamy. Add dry ingredients and vanilla. Mix well.
Roll in wax paper and slice and bake as needed.
Bake at 350 until brown.

This is the very first cookie I ever made. I had a little trouble shaping the roll in waxed paper, but finally got the hang of it.
