1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup margarine
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cream of tarter
1 cups nuts (optional)
2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Mix in egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients, add nuts and chill 1hour. Roll in balls and flatten. Bake 350
