2 eggs slightly beaten
1 can Delmonte solid pack pumpkin (16 oz.)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1-2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 oz. amaretto or rum (optional)
1 - 9" unbaked pie shell with high fluted edge
pecans, walnuts, or almonds for garnish

Mix ingredients together. Pour into pie shell (deep dish pie plate is recommended) and bake at 430 for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 and continue baking for 50 minutes to 1 hour (or until knife inserted in center comes out clean). Remove pie from oven after 30 minutes and place nuts around outside edge of pie. Continue baking for remaining time. Cool on wire rack.
