3 1/2 c. flour (1/2 brown optional)
2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening in form of oil
2 c. pumpkins or 1 c. bananas, crushed and 1 c. applesauce
2/3 c. water
4 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and sugar in bowl. Add oil, water, eggs and fruit preference (pumpkin or banans). Mix until smooth. Add nuts. Pour into three loaf pans which have been greased and floured. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. This never-fail bread can be made ahead and frozen.
