1 c. milk (sour) 1/2 tsp. soda 1 egg salt 1 c. cornmeal
Preheat oven to 400º. Heat cast iron skillet in hot oven. Mix all ingredients. Put about a tbsp. of oil into hot skillet. Pour batter into skillet. Bake until golden brown on top. Turn to other side and cook until golden brown on second side.
